Product description:

The Femur Lift is an innovative system that has been specially developed to enable precise positioning and stabilization of the thigh during orthopaedic surgery. With its easy handling and individual adjustability, the system helps to optimize surgical access and the view of the surgical site, especially during hip surgery.

Fastening and positioning:

Attachment to the operating table:
The Femur Lift is securely mounted to the slide rail of the operating table, which allows for stable and flexible positioning. The hypomochlion is aligned so that it is exactly at the height of the counter traction rod in order to create the best conditions for precise movement of the femur.

Positioning of the hypomochlion:
The hypomochlion is positioned under the thigh. In conjunction with the femoral lift, the thigh is positioned in a way that is gentle on the patient's strength.

Easy handling and precise adjustment:

Simple lifting:
Once the cup has been implanted, the hypomochlion is manually raised to the desired height. Thanks to the sterile cover and the fine adjustability, the surgeon can adapt the position of the femoral lift precisely to the requirements of the respective operation. The maximum height of the lift can be limited preoperatively to prevent unintentional hyperextension.

How the femur lift works:

Optimized access during stem preparation:
The femur lift is not raised immediately during cup preparation, but is only activated at the beginning of stem preparation. This controlled lifting process allows better access to the acetabulum and improves visualization of the femur, resulting in more precise stem preparation and better surgical execution.

Prevention of unintentional loosening:
The system is equipped with a locking device that prevents unintentional release of the hypomochlion, increasing safety throughout the procedure. This gives the surgeon full control and reduces the risk of errors.

Precise adjustment and easy lowering:

Easy lowering of the hypomochlion:
After the required height adjustment, the hypomochlion can be gently lowered by simply lifting and operating the directional head. This fine control ensures quick and uncomplicated adjustment during the procedure without undesirably changing the position of the lift.
